Letter from the Teague High School Principal

Dear Current and Former Teague High School Students,

It is an honor as principal of Teague High School to address you in this the longest running student publication in the state of Texas.

If you have not been in our building for several years you will notice a great number of changes.  The big trophy case is gone.  The “rock” floors have been replaced by carpet.  The parking lot has been expanded and repaved.  Not only are there physical changes, but there are also technological changes.  Every teacher has a computer and we have four computer labs, two of which can be moved from room to room.

With all the changes we have made, many things have also stayed the same.  We still have the most talented, caring staff in the state.  Our students are still highly motivated and high achieving.  Our school board is wonderful and very supportive in providing leadership and direction.  The superintendent and his staff are very child oriented and keep us focused on our goal of improving education for the students trusted to us.  Most importantly, the community and parents of Teague I.S.D. believe that good schools and good kids are vital and provide continuing support.

Enjoy Homecoming 2006 and stop in at the high school during school hours, we would be happy to show you around.

Go Lions!

Darrell R. Evans

Principal
